Description of Linotar Gel 1% for Psoriasis & Eczema
Linotar Gel 1% for Psoriasis & Eczema is a clean, first-line, topical Coal Tar ointment. It is used to treat psoriasis and eczema skin symptoms such as flaking, itching, dryness, redness and scaling. Please note that this medication does not cure psoriasis skin symptoms; it only relieves the symptoms temporarily. It can safely be used in combination with other products, or as a stand-alone treatment.

Linotar Gel 1% is equivalent to the FDA-approved Exorex Gel 1% Penetrating Emulsion from the North America that has been discontinued since 2016. It is similar to Exorex Lotion 5% w/w that is currently available in the United Kindom.
Linotar Gel 1% is the cornerstone of the Linotar Treatment System. It contains the active substance emulsified coal tar in a unique trans dermal delivery base that enhances penetration through the various layers of the skin. Linotar Gel 1% is the first out of three products in the Linotar Range Skin & Scalp Treatment System.
Meyer Zall (MZL) Emzaloid™ Technology
The coal tar contained in Linotar Gel 1% is encapsulated in the Omega enriched uniquely patented MZL Emzaloid™ Technology, which is clinically proven to treat Psoriasis of the skin and scalp. Linotar Gel 1% has substantially less odour and reduced staining. The MZL Emzaloid™ Technology contains essential fatty acids, that the body is unable to provide, which also assists in effectively penetrating the skin’s barrier to deliver the coal tar to where it is needed most. This ensures that your skin is hydrated, repaired and soothed. Use together with our Linocream Moisturising Cream and / or Linoscalp leave-in Scalp Conditioner, for best results.

Composition
Active Ingredient: Linotar Gel 1% contains Emulsified Coal Tar 1% w/w as medicinal ingredient.
Preservatives: Sodium Propyl Paraben 0.05% w/w; Methyl Paraben 0.1% w/w; Vitamin E 0.3% w/w.
Caution
Warnings: Shake the bottle. For external use only. Do not use on highly inflamed, broken or infected skin. Do not use in or around the rectum or in the genital area or groin. Avoid contact with the eyes. Upon accidental contact, flush eyes with water. Coal Tar may cause skin irritation and acne-like eruptions of the skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue and consult a doctor. Coal Tar enhances photosensitivity of the skin, and exposure to direct sunlight afer application of Linotar Gel 1% for Psoriasis and Eczema should be avoided.

Linotar Gel 1% has been especially developed for the fast relief of inflammation, itching and scaling of psoriasis and eczema.
To ensure adequate penetration of Linotar Gel 1% for Psoriasis and Eczema, make sure lesions are clean. Apply a thin layer of it two to three times daily. Massage gently and leave to dry. Linocream Moisturising Cream and / or Linoscalp leave-in Scalp Conditioner can then be applied as a moisturizers. Wipe off excess product after 5 minutes.
